You may remember Alex and Abby from their cherry blossom engagement session earlier this Spring. Well, I'm so excited that the day has come to share their wedding photos with you!
These two won my heart pretty quickly. Their story is perfectly them. They met several years ago when Abby came to visit a friend in Seattle. Alex was one of the housemates Abby met that weekend. Abby returned to Chicago intrigued by "this handsome man" and writes him a letter (not an email... a real letter). Soon, they had exchanged dozens and dozens of letters and Abby decided to move to Seattle. Last Christmas, they decided it was time to get married. So, the day before Christmas, in the midst of wrapping gifts and visiting families, they drove to their favorite beach and proposed to each other.
Their wedding was a humble and beautiful culmination of that story. They married in Alex's childhood church, in the neighborhood they had both called home for several years. Their reception was organized by their siblings who shared snippets of their early letters, childhood photos, and performed two wonderful songs. Her dad's toast (a Powerpoint presentation!) is one of my favorite wedding moments to date.
Altogether a truly beautiful wedding day for a beautiful couple. I feel so blessed to call you two friends.
Without further ado...
